AVG Anti Virus

As they say in Sports, you're only as good as your DEFENSE!

The reason I use AVG for my business and personal computing protection is that it works. Back in 2001 I was using another hi profile anti virus solution when one day by error I typed in Goggle instead of Google and my personal computer was toast in a millisecond. Once I was able to get the operating system back up, I downloaded AVG, uninstalled my current AV solution, restarted my PC, installed AVG and it removed the virus. I've been a fan ever since. Now that I've dissected it's products I'm an enthusiastic fan and supporter of AVG products annd solutions. I truly believe it's the best solution on the market for home personal computer users, business users and servers.

Since 2001 I personally only use a paid subscription, I do recommend AVG's free anti virus protection, however if you surf the web, look at your banking, credit cards and brokerage accounts, pay bills or shop on-line why leave yourself exposed. Is your personal security not worth the investment of a paid anti virus subscription? How much do you think it will cost your PC repairman to fix your computer once infected? Starting price on average in the US is $160.00, if the virus killed your hard drive $200. or greater. Now there's the time and aggrivation dealing with banks, credit card companies and credit reporting agencys. All because you were to frugal to pay for an anti virus subscription.

For paid AVG subscriptions AVG offers free technical support via e-mail. Most other anti virus companies, you need assistance have your credit card ready, support starts at $35. or greater per incident. Ya that's some of the fine print you neglect to read.

The Virus Bulletin lab awarded AVG Internet Security a VB100 certification for passing its test criteria in the VB lab as part of the formal VB comparative review process. AVG received the third highest Reactive Percentage (RAP) of all products tested (click here for results). The reactive percentage measures detection of new items first seen in the three weeks prior to the test. Basic requirements for the VB100 award include:
